A quick follow up to a productive week....

This is a quick follow up to the productive week you spent with our sales team at the end of February.

I was impressed on several fronts: The revenue you generated for our newspapers while you were here; the fact that you clearly did your homework on our newspapers, rate structure, and our niche in the Seattle market; and the fact that you and Pam worked so well with our sales team.

You immersed yourselves in the project and kept us focused. Your efforts have helped us realize a model that will sustain online revenue growth into the future.

Delivered more than promised

Dear Joe, Pam and Mike:

Seldom do I find that a vendor's performance exceed expectations - and then proceed to do it again.

But I can attest to that fact that Delta Online delivered more than it promised both times we worked with it to plan and execute online sales campaigns to our print advertisers. You held our hand every step of the way, offered us reassurance when we had doubts and then, bottom line, delivered on your ability to: 1. Help us sell a website that didn't even exist, and then 2. Help us resell it two years later after all the "low-hanging fruit" had been plucked during the first go-around.

Thanks for your tenacity and belief in our industry, we have to start third and fourth columns of tile ads, as well as make room for more article ads and banners. Darn!

You wisely advised us how to use the site to the best advantage of our viewers/readers and our advertisers. We think this has worked, based on customer retention and the detailed metrics that prove that our website is working for all of us.

If I can ever talk to any of your prospective newspaper publishing customers, to advise them of how my own fears and trepidation were overcome by your services, please don't hesitate to send them my way. You may recall, I took quite some time to convince. But now I'm a true believer!

Tremendous job in Taylorville, thank you!

I will admit, signing up for this venture was a bit of a leap of faith. Obviously, one that worked. Everything about the internet sales campaign exceeded my expectations. You were right on the money about the revenue you believed we would be able to generate in our market.

Naturally, I was concerned that as "experts," you would have a high-pressure approach that might have interfered with our print sales. Was I ever wrong about that. You stepped into our market and interacted with our customers as if you had known them for years.

Certainly, I am grateful to you for helping us generate significant revenue and for training us to also become "experts" in the field of internet advertising sales. But, honestly, the greatest reward from this venture was the rejuvenation of a weary staff. I saw and felt an energy during the week that you were here that I have not seen in decades, an energy that I believe will carry over into our print sales as well.

Dear Joe,

I would like to thank you, your brother Mike, and Pam Biegler for helping us launch our new online business directory product, Stateline 411. The adjustments you suggested for our rate structure certainly helped us present a product that could hardly be turned down by any client. ​Great working with the Delta Internet sales team

It is my great pleasure to recommend the internet sales team of Joe and Mike Mathes and Pam Biegler of Delta Publications. For three days Joe and Pam pounded the pavement with our sales team and helped us increase our web advertising revenue nearly 300%.
The professional sales team at Delta was there for every aspect of our campaign.

We started months before, planning our strategy for the sales calls, coming up with a sales log and inventory of our advertising space and spec-ing out a new look and feel for our websites. At every point Joe and Pam were there, answering all our questions.

After the successful campaign, Mike took over and helped us bring our new site into reality. He was quick to point out that he would always be there, holding our hand through the transformation of our site. He answered my questions at any time and actually performed some of the "dirty work" of making sure that the design that we had speced out carried over to our new, live site. What a job he did!

And to this day, if I have any questions they still are more than willing to help me out.

I told Delta that unless you have someone that strictly sells web advertising, which we do not, Publishers are doing themselves a disservice by not having a professional sales team like Delta helping them through an internet sales campaign.
